Greenberg pioneered national coverage of the game, including the original Top 25 women's college poll. His knowledge has earned him nicknames such as "The Guru" and "The Godfather," as well as induction into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007.

The Guru NCAAW Report: Drexel Holds Second in CAA Winning at Campbell While Delaware Wins at Elon For Sixth Straight; Ivy Showdown Princeton Hosting Columbia

Everything on Friday night’s slim schedule centered on the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) where Drexel (14-9, 10-3) got a slightly firmer hold on second by winning 60-54 at Campbell (15-10, 8-5) and stayed a game behind North Carolina A&T (15-9, 11-2) which won 67-44 at William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va.

Delaware  (10-14, 7-7) stayed hot with its sixth straight win beating Elon 60-51 on the road in North Carolina.

Cara McCormack in the game at Buies Creek, N.C., tied her personal best with 23 points, her second straight game scoring in the 20s as theDragons snapped Campbell’s 10-0 home streak. She was also 5-6 on makes attempted beyond the arc.

Deja Evans scored 15 with nine boards and Amaris Baker scored 13 points while Chloe Hodges set a career best grabbing 12 rebounds to go with her seven points.

Delaware, meanwhile, had five players score  in double figures against Elon (13-11, 7-6), which will host Drexel Sunday at 1 p.m. (FloSports).

The Blue Hen were led  by Chloe Willson with 15 points while Rebecca Demeke and Ella Wanzer each scored 12 points, Michelle Ojo collected 11with six boards, and Tara Cousins scored 10.

Delaware on Sunday will be at the league leaders visiting North Carolina A&T at 1 p.m. on FloHoops.

Looking Ahead

The Ivy League takes center stage Saturday up at Princeton in Jadwin Gym hosting Columbia, which is tied with the Tigers for first, at 5:30 p.m. on ESPN+.

Penn, fighting for the fourth spot, hosts Cornell at The Palestra at 2:30 p.m.(ESPN+), while Harvard, a game behind the leaders, is at Brown at 2 p.m. (ESPN+), the Bears currently deadlocked with the Quakers in fourth and the hosts for next month’s Ivy Madness four-team tourney at the Pizzitola Sports Center in Providence, R.I.

Locally in the Atlantic 10, La Salle hosts St. Bonaventure at 2 p.m. (ESPN+) in the John E. Glaser Arena,; while Rider hosts Mount St. Mary’s at 5 p.m. (ESPN+) in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game in Alumni Gym in Lawrenceville, N.J.

In the Patriot League, the two locals meet for the second time with first place Lehigh traveling to Lafayette at 4:30 p.m. (ESPN+)  in the Kirby Sports Center in Easton, Pa.

In the Big Ten, Penn State at the bottom of the 18-team conference visits Michigan at noon on the Big Ten Network in Ann Arbor.

Nationally, No. 5 Connecticut makes a Big East visit to Butler at 4:30 p.m., in Indianapolis, while the other ranked teams playing Saturday are in the Big 12: No. 19 Baylor hosts Iowa State at 2:30 p.m., on FOX, No. 12 Kansas State hosts Kansas at 5 p.m., on ESPN+, and No. 24 Oklahoma State hosts Colorado at 3 p.m. on ESPN+.
