Guru Day 29 Friday Post Hip Op Report: Now One Month Out

Guru 1 Month Out Post Hip Op Report: After going a little quiet this week letting days 26-27-28 tue-wed-thu pass in part because other than day-by-day progress but no photos to shoot the Guru would be remiss to stay dark on Day 29 Friday which is one month since the surgery on the right hip replacement.

Everything, except occasionally because the walker is by the bed so something solid to grab standing up, has been done just using the cane.

And at times moving inside the cane has been lifted off the ground to attempt some independency.

Would call the pain level now 1-3 probably a 2 but more of an ache. A lot comes from it diagnosed swollen last week by the cardiologist.

The surgeon visit is next week June 8.

Will say Friday, however, when in bed if the leg is raised as in a position to support something (with the other) as opposed to straight out it did not feel inmediately awkward for lack of a better word.

Elsewhere Perry Swarz, my brother-in-law had his knee replacement Tuesday was home Wednesday and conversing today he pronounced his recovery coming along even took a walk to the end of his block.

Curiously the three days that nothing new went on the blog which is used for links from twitter the number shot up and it wasnt like major extra news in wbb would have people checking for react.

Speaking of, down in DC tonight Dallas had a one point loss to the Mystics but rookie Maddy Siegrist from Villanova had her minutes increased to ten and was 2-4 from the field.

The Guru feeling closer to normal every day briefly contemplated going to Mohegan up in Conn Sunday for the Sun and Dallas - the game being 1 pm tip - but Amtrak schedules and fares snuffed that thought quickly.

In the present situation the alternate Guru trick way - though if someone were motoring - had too much extra movement to attempt prior to the surgeon visit.

Besides, if the sunmer league commish gets set up, its a good time to end the laptop’s time off and plug in the rosters and schedules.

But that’s it at the moment other than been killing it on crossword puzzles (and some other games) on the iphone. - Guru
