Women's Local College Report: Early Look At The Winter Schedules

By Mel Greenberg

Since the Guru began assembling his schedule for the season the other night -- many game times still to be determined but at least the dates are sort of set -- he thought he'd share the local highlights.

First, here is the Big Five dates for the season, by composite, and by team.

The expansion of the Atlantic 10 membership before next season's detraction that includes Temple means the Owls and Saint Joseph's will meet only once so the confusion that occurs is removed.

The one game will count in both the conference and Big Five.

The Guru will make some other comments as we go. One thing noticed is that Drexel looks like the Dragons will be idle most of December.

It is not known if that will change since the Guru is still basically in WNBA playoff mode.

There will be plenty of opportunity to take in Elena Delle Donne's final season at Delaware without conflict. But for the paying customers, one should know 3,000 of the 5,000 seats in the Bob Carpenter Center are already gone, along with the same number for the first-second round NCAA site hosted by the Blue Hens.

Trenton, incidentally, will again be a regional host.
